Brrrrrrr...

What a weekend! It is has been a cold one! It all started Friday. My girls and I were planning a fun little evening in Dallas...we were going to eat some yummy mexican food and grab some Italian ice cream for Kate's b-day. Well, no problem...the temp is around 60 at 2:00. I left work at 4:00 and it was 38 degrees outside...what happened??? It was also POURING! Huh?? Needless to say we decided not to fight the weather and the traffic, but still had a nice little time at MiCocina near where we live. We caught up on each others lives which is always fun! We'll have to reschedule the Dallas trip. So that will be fun!

Update: the first house deal fell through, BUT Friday at 7 we had another prospect come by and they immediately made an offer. It was VERY CLOSE to what we were asking and they accepted our counter-offer on Saturday morning and we are now in a contract! WOW that was fast! We have 2 WEEKS until closing...whew...I have a busy couple of weeks ahead of me! I hope everything goes okay!!

Saturday my hubby and I were going to go get all of our loan stuff taken care of and head to the Body Worlds exhibit in Dallas. I was SO EXCITED!! Well, with the weathermen telling us to only get out for emergencies, we ended up at the mortgage place then back home. We found out our tickets would be valid for a week...so we will go next weekend. Too bad...we could have gone...it never iced. Oh well. Probably better not to drive around all the idiots on the road anyway. I can't wait to go see the exhibit though!

Today is Sunday...had lunch at my parents house...they made fajitas and they were so yummy! We had to leave early so the real estate agent can stop by for more signatures. Man, those guys work all hours, everyday of the week. It is amazing! Anyway, another freezing cold day. I think sweats and a blanket and some hot chocolate and a movie are in the works for this evening. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
