Valentine's Day 2007

Yesterday was my first Valentine's Day as a married woman. It was incredible. My sweetie and I aren't into going out on the town, especially on a crowded holiday and we agreed that since we just moved into a larger home we'd save the expense of gifts this year. So, I took off early and made my famous chicken parmesan, angel hair pasta with sauce and french bread. It was super. After dinner I gave Brady a card...it was perfect. He said "your card is in the car, I'll be right back." So he went to his car and came back with a dozen red roses and some Dove dark chocolates...and the sweetest "to my wife" card. So much for not getting me anything. The roses are beautiful and he is the best husband in the world. It was the best Valentine's day ever. It wasn't anything extravagant, but a lovely evening with the man I love...perfect!

My life...not too much to report

It has been a bit since I have had anything useful to say...and I still don't really have a lot. Just an update on life. Nothing too exciting.
As far as my New Year's resolutions go...I am doing alright. I am most proud of the fact that I have not had one soft drink since last year. I cleaned my house because I had to in order to move out and I can't help but keep the new house clean because it is new...so that worked out great. Organization is going well...also because of the move it forced me to throw out the old or take to Goodwill, etc. My dad and I are doing MAJOR clean-up at the office. Files are being organized, lables made, desks cleaned...it already looks so much better, but still a way to go. Work is getting better with better organization. I am not getting lost in a pile of papers and actually getting my work done more efficiently, which helps me and my clients out. I don't feel as overwhelmed. It's good.
Life in general is good. It was one year ago yesterday that I started planning my wedding...because the plans start about 5 minutes after the ring is put on the finger. My husband is the best! He loves me so much and treats me like a queen always. We have had a busy first few months with all the holidays and honeymoon and moving, etc. Things are settling down now and we love just hanging out together.
My goal for the next few weeks is to work on my resolution to hang out with my friends more. I have been neglecting them I think. I am horrible at calling and writing. I just need to do it and hang out with my girls. A serious girl's night is needed soon.
